Association of Former Algerian Muslim Scouts in partnership with the Ministry of the Mudjahidine launch “Memory Week” event

The kick-off of this event was given by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Moudjahidine and the Rights Holders, Mr Laid Rebika, in the presence of the advisor of the President of the Republic in charge of the associative movement and the national community abroad, Nazih Berramdane, and leaders of the Algerian Muslim Scouts.

The event is part of the neighborhood memory project, embodied by the Former Algerian Muslim Scouts Association in partnership with the Ministry of Moudjahidine and Rights-People.

This event was carried out on the occasion of the National Day of Memory, May 8 of each year and commemorates the massacres of May 8, 1945. The guests were received at the organization’s national headquarters, where they had a visit to various headquarters’ structures, where the “Memory Week” event kick off was given, which will include many different and varied neighborhood activities in all the country’s provinces.

The first activity in Algiers was a visit to historical landmarks such as the Casbah by the youth and children of the ancient Algerian Islamic Scouts.

In the end, in appreciation of the historic decision taken by the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to celebrate the National Day of Scouts, which falls on May 27 of every year, the tree of the martyr Mohamed Bouras was planted in the Martyrs Square in Algiers.
