Athletics – 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games: gold medal for Algerian Amine Bouanani in the 110m/hurdles

Algerian runner, Amine Bouanani, won today, Wednesday, the gold medal in the 110m/hurdles race, at the 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games, taking place in Konya, Turkey.

The Algerian runner achieved a time of 13 seconds and 21, thus improving the national and personal record he achieved in the last world championships in Eugene (USA), which was: 13 seconds and 37.

The silver and bronze went to Senegalese Francois Mandy (13 seconds and 28) and Kuwaiti Yacoub Al-Youha (13 seconds and 30), respectively.

It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Solidarity Games is a sports event organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (established on May 6, 1985 in Riyadh) under the auspices of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
