Rains on Tuesday in the province of Tipaza caused the closure of the highway linking the town of Bousmail (Tipaza) and the city of Zeralda (Algiers) until water is absorbed and sewers unlogged, according to the director of Public Works.
Mohamed Bouazgui explained to Algeria Press Service that it was decided at about 10 o’clock today to temporarily close the highway linking Tipaza and Algiers provinces between Bousmail and Zeralda following of blockages at the highway due to the waste of nearby peasant farms and dirt accumulations that also caused the blockage of the sewers.
The same official expected the reopening of this important highway starting in the afternoon.
