
Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane on Monday urged large businesses to adopt an integrated approach that takes advantage of the opportunities provided by various productive sectors, including military industries and micro-enterprises.
During his visit to the stand of Sonatrach Group on the occasion of the opening of the 29th edition of the Algerian Production Fair, Mr. Benabderrahmanestressed that “Algerian institutions have a great potential that major economic institutions should take advantage of according to an integrative view.”
He added that major institutions such as Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Air Algerie are national corporations that must place among their priorities the creation of massive jobs, by exploiting the national subcontracting market, startups and various Algerian companies that master technologies.
The premier pointed out that many military industrial companies control several areas that major economic institutions can exploit and integrate into their terms of reference.
He stated, “What I have noticed is that each institution works on its own, although there are local institutions that can be relied upon, and it is sufficient to visit this exhibition to see this great potential.”
The Prime Minister also urged those in charge of the “Sonatrach” group to redouble efforts to make more discoveries in the field of hydrocarbons in order to benefit from the untapped wealth of Algeria.
In this regard, he referred to the importance of the new investment law whose texts were promulgated to facilitate investment in this field.
