On Sunday afternoon, Civil Protection personnel managed to retrieve the bodies of two children who drowned in Oued Djedi in the Melili municipality region (30 km west of Biskra), according to the local directorate of the same regular bodies.
According to the same source, the bodies of the two victims, aged 6 and 8, from the municipality of Melili, were recovered 1 km from the place from which they were swept away by the waters of the valley.
Elements of the secondary unit of Civil Protection, supported by two divers from the main unit of the same wire, had entered to retrieve the bodies of the two victims, the probable cause of their deaths was due to swimming in the valley, as it was indicated.
The bodies of the two victims were transferred aboard an ambulance belonging to Civil Protection Units to the multi-service clinic.
