Blida: 3 people killed by electric shock and 13 others injured in traffic accidents

Three people were killed by electrocution and 13 others were injured in separate traffic accidents in Blida province, according to Civil Protection Services, on Sunday.

The same source added that the Civil Protection Unit of the Bouinan District intervened yesterday, Saturday, in a case of electrocution in Nezli Abdelkader Street, after a person was subjected to an electric shock after touching electrical cables from above a three story building under construction, as a result of which he died on the spot.

The body of the victim (50 years old) was transferred to the mortuary department of Boufarik Hospital.

The Soumaa Civil Protection Unit also intervened in another electrification case in the Bouamrous neighborhood, same municipality, after two people were hit by electric shocks after touching a high-voltage electric cables from the top of a three-story building as well, and they died as a result of being carbonized on the spot.

The bodies of the two victims, who were not identified due to the state of carbonization, and who were about 30 years old, were transferred to the mortuary department of Boufarik Hospital.

On the other hand, the Civil Protection Services registered, yesterday evening, Saturday, the injury of 13 people in traffic accidents that occurred on the province’ roads. The accidents consisted of a collision of a tourist car with a bus without any passengers, which was parked on the side of the national road No. 1 that links Khazrouna to Beni Mered, and after the collision, 6 people were slightly injured, and were treated and evacuated to Frantz Fanon Hospital.

4 other people were injured in another collision between two cars, in the motorway between the southern exit and the northern entrance to Boufarik. They were evacuated to Boufarik Hospital.

On the other hand, the Civil Protection Unit of Ouled Yaïch intervened in a traffic accident near Saad Dahleb University, where two women were injured after they were run over by a motorcycle. They were transferred to Frantz Fanon Hospital.

The Beni Merad Municipal Unit also intervened in a traffic accident in the Zawiya district, municipality of Beni Tamou, after a 13-year-old girl was injured in a car accident. She was treated and evacuated to Ben Boulaid Hospital.
