Border police at the Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers last weekend arrested a foreign national of Turkish nationality, who was smuggling a sum of foreing currency to Istanbul, estimated at 165,000 euros, which was hidden tightly inside his luggage, according to a statement by the General Directorate of National Security.
The statement added that the suspect was brought before the competent judicial authorities regionally, where he was issued a detention order against him.
