On Thursday, seven (7) people were injured in the collapse of an individual house in the neighborhood of 5 July in the city center of BORDJ BOU ARRERIDJ due to a gas explosion, the local directorate of Civil Protection said.
Civil Protection of BORDJ BOU ARRERIDJ Director of Communication, Ali Dahman Rabeh said that a 3 floors individual house collapsed in neighborhood of 5 July in BORDJ BOU ARRERIDJ downtown following a gas explosion leading to injuring 7 persons and damaging the neighboring houses.
Civil protection agents transferred the wounded to the city’s hospital, while search and rescue operations continue, said the same source.
Local chief executive Mohammed Benmalek moved to the scene to oversee rescue operations.
