Bouden calls from Indonesia to adopt the principle of peaceful settlement of disputes and give priority to dialogue

The Deputy Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, Moundir Bouden, called today, Tuesday, during his participation in the Indonesian island of Bali, at the head of a joint parliamentary delegation of the two chambers of Parliament in the proceedings of the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Bali (Indonesia), to adopt the principle of peaceful settlement of disputes and give priority to dialogue “away” from the policies of escalation,” according to a statement of the Assembly.

In a speech he delivered, on behalf of the Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, on “the importance of joint parliamentary action in addressing international issues,” Mr. Bouden denounced the policy of “double standards in dealing with international crises,” expressing “astonishment, at the same time, at the great interest in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis in return for the international community’s disregard for just causes over which the conflict has protracted, such as the Palestinian and Saharan causes.”

In another context – the statement adds – the head of the Algerian parliamentary delegation denounced “Spain’s deviation from its position on the issue of Western Sahara,” which the parliamentary delegation considered “contrary to UN regulations and relevant international standards.”
