Boughali and Speaker of Turkish National Assembly review ways to enhance parliamentary work

The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, and the Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, Mustafa Sentop, reviewed, today, Wednesday, during a phone call, ways to enhance parliamentary work, according to a statement by the lower house of Parliament.

The statement indicated that the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly received today a phone call from the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, “in which they exchanged the status of the two parliaments and the distinguished relations that bind them, as well as ways to enhance parliamentary work.”

Sentop praised, according to the same source, “the spirit of cooperation, especially within the framework of the Algerian-Turkish Friendship Committee, which was installed in order to strengthen the historical process, the reality and future of relations, and to serve the common positions on issues of common concern.”

He also expressed his “satisfaction and thanks for the success of the meeting of the Executive Body of the Federation of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held recently in Algeria,” where the presidents of the two councils agreed to “continue efforts and endeavors to serve the higher interests of the two countries.” the statement added.
