Boukadoum holds talks with Aboul Gheit in anticipation of the emergency session of the Arab League on occupied Jerusalem

Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum held talks today, Monday with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in anticipation of the emergency session of the Arab League Council, which will be devoted to discussing Arab action against Israel’s crimes in occupied Jerusalem.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, Mr. Boukadoum said, “In preparation for the emergency session of the Council of the Arab League, which will be devoted to discussing Arab action against Israel’s crimes in occupied Jerusalem, I underlined with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, my brother Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the necessity of giving a new impetus to Arab-Islamic solidarity to support Our Palestinian brothers and preserve our religious shrines.

Algeria condemned on Sunday, in the strongest terms, the “racist and extremist attacks” of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and preventing them from performing their religious rituals in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in blatant violation of international legality resolutions.

Algeria affirmed its “full solidarity and unwavering support to the Palestinian people in their heroic struggle against the Israeli occupation,” reiterating its “constant and firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause until the Palestinian people recover their legitimate and inalienable rights, foremost among which is their right to establish their independent state with Al-Qods as its capital.

It is worth noting that about 205 Palestinians were wounded, last Saturday, during Israeli occupation forces’ incursion in Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacking worshipers, and suppressing the protesters in the Cheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
