Boukadoum holds talks with Sudanese FM in Kinshasa

Algerian Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Sabri Boukadoum, spoke today, Tuesday, in Kinshasa, with his Sudanese counterpart, Mr. Omer Gamareldin Ismail, on the sideline of his official visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Mr. Boukadoum said in a tweet: “Today I met Mr. Omer Gamareldin, Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sideline of my official visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo,” adding that the meeting “provided an opportunity for consultation on brotherly relationship between our countries, and also on regional issues of common concern, including the issue of the Renaissance Dam and its influence on stability in the region.

Mr. Boukadoum is on a two-day official visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he was received by President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, according to a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

The statement indicated that Mr. Boukadoum conveyed to President Tshisekedi a letter  from President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Majid Tebboune, and that he held talks with his counterpart Marie Tumba Nzeza, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Boukadoum’s visit to Kinshasa comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and to discuss ways to develop cooperation between the two countries, as well as within the framework of bilateral consultations on regional and international issues of common interest, especially that the Democratic Republic of the Congo will assume the next presidential mandate of the African Union.
