Brahim Boughali represents President of the Republic at inauguration ceremony of new Colombian President

The President of the People’s National Assembly, Mr. Brahim Boughali, representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will participate, tomorrow, Sunday, in the inauguration ceremony of the new President of the Republic of Colombia, Mr. Gustavo Petro Orego, according to a statement of the Council.

The same source explained that “the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, commissioned Mr. Brahim Boughali, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, to represent him in the inauguration ceremony of the new President of the Republic of Colombia, Mr. Gustavo Pietro Orego, who was elected on June 19, 2022, where the inauguration ceremony will take place tomorrow, Sunday, in the Colombian capital, Bogota”.

According to the same source, it is expected that the President of the National People’s Assembly will “have a meeting with his Colombian counterpart, Mr. David Rosero, and the President of the Colombian Senate, Mr. Rui Pereras, to discuss bilateral parliamentary cooperation.”

The statement pointed out that “the relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Algeria and Colombia are distinguished,” noting that “the two countries seek to work to strengthen them through periodic bilateral consultations.”

The statement added that this endeavor was “marked by the signing of a number of agreements that covered the political, economic, social and cultural fields,” as well as “the inauguration of the two parliamentary groups of friendship Algeria-Colombia on May 8, 2022 and Colombia-Algeria on May 10, 2022.”
