CAN-2023: Algeria wins against Niger (0-1)

The Algerian national football team defeated their Nigerien counterpart by a score of 0-1 (halftime: 0-1) on Monday at the Hammadi-Agrebi stadium in Rades (Tunisia) in the 4th round of Group F of the qualifying rounds for the African Cup of Nations CAN-2023, originally scheduled to be held in Ivory Coast, but postponed to 2024.

The only goal of the match was scored by the Algerian striker Baghdad Bounadjeh (6th minute).

With this victory, Algeria keeps its position as the leader of Group F with 12 points and secures its spot in the final phase of the CAN-2023, ahead of Tanzania (4 points) and Niger (2 points), while Uganda follow behind with one point.

The second match of Group F will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28, and will feature Tanzania facing Uganda in Dar-Essalam.

The top two teams from each of the twelve groups will qualify for the CAN-2023.
