CAN-2023 Qualifiers (Niger-Algeria 0-1): the “Greens” qualify for the final phase

The Algerian football team has officially qualified for the final phase of the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN-2023), scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire and postponed to 2024, thanks to their victory against Niger (0-1) on Monday in a match played at the Radès stadium in Tunis, for the fourth day of Group F.

With their fourth consecutive win, the teammates of captain Ryad Mahrez have definitively secured their qualification with two matchdays to go, in a group that they have dominated from start to finish: 12 points in as many matches, ahead of Tanzania (4 pts) who will host Uganda (last with only 1 point), while Niger is in third place with only 2 points.

The second match of Group F will take place on Tuesday, March 28, and will oppose Tanzania to Uganda in Dar-Essalem.

The top two of each of the twelve groups will qualify for the CAN-2023.
