The Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development announced, in a statement today, Monday, the cancellation of the procedures for suspending and withdrawing driving licenses by provincial committees, as of next February 1, as part of the “continues efforts of public authorities to alleviate administrative procedures.”
The statement highlighted the provisions of the Joint Ministerial Circular No. 01 of January 20, 2022, which was adopted in this regard by the Ministries of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development as wells as Transport, and identified the implementation mechanisms to put this decision into effect.
The Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development also calls on drivers to “show a civic sense and respect the laws and regulations in force in the field of road safety and security to support the efforts of public authorities to curb human and economic losses caused by traffic accidents.
