Algeria’s national team qualified Tuesday for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations (CHAN 2022), a tournament featuring African footballers playing in their respective National League clubs (January 13 – February 4), by dominating Niger 5-0 (first half: 4-0) at the Miloud-Hadefi Stadium of Oran.
Algeria’s goals were scored by Abdellaoui (15th), Mahious (23rd, 34th), Boureyma Abdoulay Katkore (csc, 45th) and Sofiane Bayazid (83rd).
With a brace, Aymen Mahious takes the lead of the CHAN 2022 top scorers list with five goals.
In the final scheduled for Saturday (20:30) at the Nelson-Mandela stadium in Baraki (Algiers), Algeria will be facing the winner of the second semi-final between Senegal and Madagascar on Tuesday evening from 20:00.
