The Council of Ministers approved, during its meeting today, Sunday, a proposal presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra to put a green number at the disposal of the national community at embassies and consulates, in order ensure permanent and immediate protection and listen to their concerns in case of problems abroad.

A statement by the Council of Ministers stated that the latter “approved a proposal submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad to place a green number, at the level of embassies and consulates, at the disposal of the members of the national community,” in order to “ensure permanent and immediate protection for them and listen to their concerns in case they are subjected to harassment abroad.”

It’s worth noting that the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasized, in his message on the occasion of the National Day of Migration, the 60th anniversary of the demonstrations of October 17, 1961, the “special care” he grants to the “optimal” handling of the concerns of the Algerian community abroad and the protection of its interests, noting at the same time the honorable national attitudes of the members of this community in times of adversity and ordeals.
