President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune insisted, during the Council of Ministers meeting held Sunday, on the need to increase the national stock of Covid-19 vaccines.
A statement issued today by the Presidency of the Republic stated that the cabinet meeting included a presentation made by Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, in which he gave comprehensive follow-up of the vaccination process and the extent of the implementation of the vaccine acquisition strategy, confirming the availability of financial means.
In this context, President of the Republic stressed on “the need to raise the national stock of vaccines against Covid-19 and to complete the contractual and field arrangements necessary to materialize the Russian Vaccine, Sputnik V, production project in Algeria as soon as possible. The President also called for diversifying contacts with Algeria’s partners in this field.
