Council of the Nation: Approval of 13 presidential ordinances related to sectors of interior, justice, social security and defense

The members of the Council of the Nation approved, today, Wednesday, in Algiers, presidential decrees related to 13 presidential ordinances, amending and supplementing laws related to the sectors of the interior and local communities, justice, social security, finance, as well as defense.

The members of the Upper House of Parliament approved during a public session chaired by the Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil , the draft laws submitted to them for voting, represented in 13 presidential ordinances related to the sectors of the interior and local communities, justice, labor and social security, as well as defense, in the presence of the Minister of Interior And Local Communities and Urban Planning, Kamel Beldjoud, the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Youcef Cherfa, as well as the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Basma Azzouar.

The voting concerns the draft law approving Ordinance No. 21-07 of June 8, 2021, containing the Complementary Finance Law for 2021, the draft law approving Ordinance No. 21-03 of March 25, 2021 which amends and supplements Law No. 84-09 of February 4, 1984 relating to the territorial organization of the country and Ordinance No. 21-02 defining electoral districts and the number of seats to be filled in Parliamentary elections, Ordinance 21-13 supplementing some provisions of Law No. 10-11 relating to the municipality, Ordinance 21-01 amending and supplementing Ordinance 21-01 containing the organic law relating to the electoral system and Ordinance No. 21-05 amending and supplementing some provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 containing the organic law relating to the electoral system.

The draft law containing the approval of No. 21-10 of August 25, 2021 amending and completing some provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 containing the organic law related to the electoral system and Ordinance No. 08-21 amending and supplementing Ordinance No. 66-156 of July 8, 1966 containing the Penal Code, Ordinance No. 21-09 of July 8, 2021 relating to the protection of information and administrative documents, and Ordinance No. 21-11 supplementing Ordinance 66-155 of July 8 July 1966, which includes the Code of Criminal Procedure, were also approved during the session which witnessed the attendance of 66 members and the registration of 36 agencies,
