The Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and the Algerian Community Abroad, Mr. Rachid Boushaba, will participate in the proceedings of the third phase of the 2021 regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, said a statement to the Council of the Nation on Monday.
The same statement indicated that the proceedings of the third phase of the 2021 regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will take place between 21 and 24 of current month via videoconference, and its agenda includes examining and discussing “several reports on health passports, the protection of basic rights and their legal implications.” and overcoming social and economic crisis caused by tCOVID-19 pandemic.
Participants will also discuss “the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children’s rights as well as the fight against Afrophobia or racism against people of color in Europe.”
The statement indicated that the holding of this session coincides with the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Istanbul Treaty to Fight Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
