Covid-19: vast vaccination campaign at the University next Monday

The Higher Education and Scientific Research sector will organize a vast vaccination campaign against Covid-19 next Monday for the benefit of teachers, students and all university staff, according to a ministry press release issued on Thursday.

As part of the prevention of the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, particularly following the recent outbreak of cases in Algeria, the Higher Education and Scientific Research sector is organizing a vast vaccination campaign for the benefit of teachers, students and all university staff, in parallel with awareness-raising actions on the necessary vaccination for the preservation of public health.

The vaccination campaign will initially concern, next Monday, fifteen (15) university towns, according to the same source which announced the participation of central administration executives and various social partners (unions and student associations) in the actions of planned awareness.

In the east of the country, vaccination will be carried out at the University of Constantine 3 (Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences), the University of Sétif 1 (El-Baz Campus), the University of Annaba (El-Bouni Campus, Faculty of Law), University of Batna 1 and University of Biskra.

In the center of the country, vaccination is planned at the University of Algiers 1, the University of Algiers 2, the University of Algiers 3, the University of Sciences and Technology Houari-Boumediene (USTHB ), the Higher Normal Schools, the University of Blida 1, the University of Laghouat and the University of Bejaia.

In the west of the country, the establishments concerned are the University of Oran 2 (Campus Taleb-Salim), the University of Mostaganem, the University of Chlef, the University of Bechar and the University of Adrar.

The Minister of Health, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, had reiterated earlier in the day his call for vaccination against covid-19, ensuring that vaccines were available in sufficient numbers.
