Customs: 2800 cans of table oil destined for smuggling have been seized in Bordj Badji Mokhtar

Customs authorities have seized 2,800  5 liter cans of table oil in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the General Directorate of Customs.

The statement indicated that “in the context of implementing the joint field control program for the operational services of the customs teams with the security services, the elements of the multi-tasking customs division in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, which is regionally affiliated to the departments of the Customs Inspectorate in Adrar, managed to seize, in coordination with elements of the national army,  2,800  5 liter cans of table oil loaded on a truck.”

“This operation reflects the tireless efforts of the Algerian customs services in order to protect the national economy and combat the smuggling of subsidized materials, in line with the efforts of the public authorities to maintain the stability of the internal market and to ensure the permanent and continuous supply of consumption goods to the citizen,” adds the same source.
