Detachments of the National People’s Army continued their intervention to control the fire, by opening roads in the rugged mountainous areas to enable fire trucks to reach the burning places inside the forests, according to a press release of the Ministry of National Defense.
“The detachments of the National People’s Army in the military sector of Khenchela, the fifth military district, continued, yesterday, Sunday, July 11, 2021, their intervention to control the fires in the forests, by opening paths in the rugged mountainous areas to enable the access of fire trucks to the burning places within the forests”.
This intervention also represented “the establishment of earth barriers using bulldozers and various mechanisms to stop the spread of fire, in addition to the contribution of the National People’s Army to putting out the fires with the civil protection services and extending a helping hand to the residents of the area.”
