Determining modalities of implementing powers of governors in coordinating non-centralized services of the state within the government meeting agenda

The government examined yesterday, Thursday a draft executive decree specific to the modalities of implementing the powers of the governor, related to the activation, coordination and control of the decentralized services of the state in charge of the various sectors of activity in the state.

A  communiqué of the services of the Prime Minister stated that the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, chaired yesterday, Thursday, the weekly meeting of the government, where a draft executive decree was studied specifying the modalities for implementing the powers of the Wali related to the activation, coordination and control of the decentralized services of the state in charge of various sectors of activity in the state.

This draft executive decree provides “the clarifications necessary to enhance the authority of the governor by providing mechanisms that enable concerted efforts at the local level, improve the effectiveness of the work of the executive body and ensure that the needs of the population are taken care of, thanks to improving the effectiveness of the implementation of development programs and projects at the local level.”

In this context, the statement pointed out that “the supervision institutions are not under the direct authority of the governor,” according to the same source.
