The Association of Diabetes Patients – wilaya of Algiers – organizes on Wednesday an awareness day for the early detection of diabetes and the prevention of its complications, at the Algerian Television Public Institution.
The president of the association, Mr. Fayçal Ahada, said in a statement to the Algerian TV news website that this initiative coincides with the World Diabetes Day, which falls on November 14 of each year.
In the same regard, Ahada explained that the association decided this year to allocate an awareness campaign for employees due to their commitment to work throughout the day and they are unable to go to public places for diagnosis.
Finally, the president of the association added that this awareness campaign aims to reduce the risks of diabetes resulting from an unhealthy system, and to avoid susceptibility to diabetes.
