Diafat receives Secretary-General of Arab Union for Promotion of Industrial Exports

Mr. Nassim Diafat, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Microenterprises, received today Ambassador Abdelmounaim Mohamed Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Arab Union for the Promotion of Industrial Exports, in order to address many points of common interest.

During this meeting, the delegated minister touched on the capabilities possessed by the micro-enterprise sector in Algeria and the efforts made by his ministerial department in order to provide an encouraging and appropriate environment for entrepreneurial activity, as well as the international prospects of the sector through the national policy to accompany micro-enterprises to openness to the international environment for business.

The delegated minister also stressed that the exhibition that the Arab Union for the Promotion of Industrial Exports will organize next June in Algeria regarding strengthening the exports of small and medium enterprises in the Arab world constitutes an important date for young Arab entrepreneurs to exchange their experiences in the field of openness to foreign markets, adding that the institutional sector in Algeria is fully prepared to provide adequate support for the success of this event.

For his part, Mr. Abdelmounaim Mohamed stated that the union’s choice of Algeria to organize this event was due to Algeria’s long experience in the field, as well as the great potentials possessed by Algerian youth in all industrial and productive fields, which would constitute a topic of interest to many young people and Arab countries.

The two sides also discussed some future projects that must be worked on in order to strengthen Arab-Arab cooperation in the field of micro-enterprises and entrepreneurship, which would provide the appropriate conditions for Arab youth in order to embody joint projects that benefit all the economies of Arab countries.
