The digital platform of the investor, launched nearly two months ago, knows an “important response” from economic operators, who have identified themselves and registered their projects, said Wednesday in Algiers an executive of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI).
This platform, launched last October 20 by the Prime Minister, Mr. Aimene Benabderrahmane, has already registered, a week ago, some 233 projects across the country, said Ahmed Berrichi, director of the one-stop shop, major projects and foreign investment at the AAPI, during a panel on the new investment code organized on the sidelines of the 30th edition of the Fair of Algerian production held at the Palais des Expositions (Safex).
He said that the enthusiasm of economic operators to submit their projects on this platform is “growing”, adding that by the end of the year, the number of projects will certainly evolve, since many investors had already created accounts on the platform, therefore, called to register their projects “very soon.
He added: “These investments, falling into the category +Large projects, are particularly steel, food and chemical industry, while at the local level, almost all sectors are concerned.
During this panel, which brought together representatives of relevant authorities and experts in investment, participants have highlighted the facilities, benefits and opportunities provided by the new law on investment to the benefit of project developers.
