Director General of National Security oversees the ceremony honoring policemen on the occasion of International Women’s day

The Director-General of the National Security, Mr. Farid Bencheikh, supervised on Monday in Ali Tounsi Police Academy of ChâteaunTeuf, the celebration of the International Women’s Day, in the presence of members of the government and the Algiers governor, announced a press release of the DGSN.

The Director General of National Security praised the important role and effective contribution that policewomen have made and are still making since they joined the National Security Service and wear the blue uniform with conviction, merit and worthiness.

The Chief of Police said that “As she has proven her ability to take up the challenge by assuming the job of difficulties and recruiting her alongside her brother to confront Crime in all its forms, in order to preserve the security and stability of the country and the people, and for this it is our duty to have all the respect and appreciation”.

He stressed that” Algerian women have proven their presence as an effective element in building society and contributing to the movement of its cycles across various sectors“, stressing” their determination to continue to walk steadfastly on the path of loyalty set by the women and men of the first generation in order to build a strong state heard in the word and present in international forums, and is entering today another stage of development and progress to build a new Algeria”.

On the occasion, the Director General of National Security “paid tribute to all the women of Algeria”, especially “the Mujahideen who contributed to the development of the first nucleus to build a strong Algerian state thanks to the concerted efforts of all its loyal daughters and sons”.

The occasion was marked by tributes to national personalities, fighters, women affiliated to the national security, retired women, representatives of the different security forces and media professionals. The Director General of National Security also paid tribute to the mother of the martyr of national duty, police inspector Mustafa, who died as a hero in the performance of his duties.
