Djibouti-Algeria match transferred from Alexandria to “Stadium” stadium in Cairo.

The Djibouti-Algeria match as part of the fifth round of the first group of the second qualifying round, to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scheduled for Friday, November 12, was transferred from Alexandria Stadium to Cairo (Egypt) at 14:00 Algeria time, according to an announcement published today by the  Algerian Football Federation (FAF) in its official website.

The Federal Authority indicated in a statement that the International Football Federation (FIFA) had scheduled the Djibouti-Algeria match as part of the fifth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, on Friday, November 12 (14:00), at the “Stadium” stadium in Cairo.

This match will be run by a trio of Beninese referees, led by Luis Gendo Hongandand, with the help of his fellow countrymen Imavo Aimar Ulrich Eric (first assistant) and Augustin Kodogbo Kogbemidi (second assistant), while the fourth official is Benin Mohamed Issa.

The sixth and final round of qualifiers between Niger and Djibouti will take place on Monday, November 15 at General Konchi Stadium in Niamey (17:00, Algeria time). At the same time Algeria will host the team of Burkina Faso in Mustapha Tchaker stadium in Blida.

After four rounds of World Cup qualifiers, Algeria and Burkina Faso share the lead with 10 points, while Niger is in the third position with 3 points and Djibouti is lagging behind the group with not points.

The first in each group qualifies for the last round (Al Sadd match), scheduled for March 2022.
