
The mortal remains of two Algerian nationals who died following the devastating earthquake that hit southern Turkey arrived at Houari-Boumediene International Airport on Saturday.
The victims are Serairi Samiha (44) and her daughter Berber Hadil (13) found and identified last Thursday in the town of Iskenderun in the southern Turkish province of Hatay.
The Minister of National Solidarity, Family and the Women’s Affairs, Kaouter Krikou, was present at the arrival of the Air Algerie plane carrying the two bodies, along with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, and the families of the two victims.
In her statement, the Minister extended her sincere condolences to the family of the two victims and to all victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The family of the two victims expressed their gratitude for the efforts made by the Algerian authorities to assist in the transportation of the two remains.
