Algeria Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad on Thursday morning performed Eid-al-Fitr prayer at the Great Mosque of Algiers with the faithful, in an atmosphere of piety and serenity.
Members of the government, the advisor to the Presidency of the Republic as well as members of the diplomatic community from Arab and Muslim countries accredited to Algiers, also performed the Eid El-Fitr prayer at the Grand Mosque of Algiers.
In his preaching, the imam of the mosque highlighted that Eid El-Fitr is an occasion for reconciliation and solidarity among the believers to perpetuate charitable actions.
He also recalled that this holiday is an opportunity for the purification of the soul, reconciliation and solidarity between the believers, far from any hatred and rancour to make the precepts and teachings of Islam prevalent.
Mr. Djerad received, on this occasion, the wishes of many citizens who performed the Eid prayer at the Grand Mosque of Algiers.
