Election of Algerian Professor Mohamed Hicham Kara in the African Academy of Sciences

Professor Mohamed Hicham Kara, a biologist and professor of oceanography at the University of Annaba, was elected as member of the African Academy of Sciences, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the same body.

Professor Kara, founding member and vice-president of the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology, will be received and appointed to this body on December 8, 2022, on the occasion of the 14th General Assembly of the academy and the World Science Forum, which will be held from December 4 to 9, 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The primary objective of the African Academy of Sciences is to improve the quality of life on the African continent through the integration of scientific knowledge and development.
