End of military parade commemorating the 60th anniversary of independence

The military parade, which was supervised by the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, concluded today, Tuesday in Algiers, and was marked by an impressive performance in a very precise manner by the various formations of the People’s National Army.

This huge military parade was initiated by an air formation of six aircrafts that decorated the skies of Algiers with the national colors, after which the various formations representing the air force followed.

Armored divisions, modernized tanks of various types, support mechanisms, missile platforms, artillery and combat vehicles also toured the track designated for this parade, as well as a naval formation consisting of several types of ships, frigates and submarines.

As a reminder, this military parade took place at the level of National Road No. 11, adjacent to the Algiers Mosque, in the presence of heads and delegations of several brotherly and friendly countries to share Algeria’s joy in this important event.

This concerns the President of Tunisia, Mr. Kaïs Saied, President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Republic of Ethiopia, Mrs. Sahle Work Zewde, President of Niger, Mr. Mohamed Bazoum, President of the Republic of Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Sahrawi Arab Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, President of the Italian Senate, Mrs. Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Libya, Najla Al-Manqoush, and UAE Minister of Tolerance, Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who arrived yesterday, Monday in their capacity as guests of Algeria.

The ceremony was also attended by high-ranking state officials, advisors to the President of the Republic, members of the government and a group of Mujahideen, in addition to representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria.
