The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received, on Wednesday, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire to Algiers, Fohou Sahi Alphonse.
A statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that, during the meeting, “the discussions focused on opportunities and possibilities of investment and partnership between the two countries in the fields of energy, especially in the field of exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, development and petrochemicals, as well as in the field of production, maintenance and transmission of electricity.”
In this context, “it was agreed that a delegation from the energy and mining sector made up of representatives from Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Naftal would travel to Côte d’Ivoire,” the statement adds .
The two parties also discussed, according to the same statement, “other aspects of cooperation related to the exchange of experiences and training, as well as cooperation and partnership between the two countries in the mining field in Algeria.”
