Energy: National Accreditation Authority and Sonelgaz-Services sign a cooperation framework agreement

The Algerian Accreditation Body (Algerac) and the Sonelgaz-Services company have signed a framework cooperation agreement on skills building and accreditation of quality control bodies, Algerac said in a statement on Tuesday.

Signed, on December 21 at the headquarters of Algerac, by the director general of this organization, Nouredine Boudissa and the CEO of Sonelgaz-Services, Chérif Zeghoud, this agreement “is part of a policy of improvement skills and upgrading the quality control entities of Sonelgaz-Services in order to comply with the motto of the Sonelgaz group, which is to provide reliable and responsible energy, ensure a quality public service and contribute to the well-being of its customers”, according to the same source.

In this sense, the two parties have agreed to consolidate their efforts to create “a real synergy” aimed at an essentially technical cooperation focused on the development and training of staff, the establishment of a quality approach in accordance with norms and international standards.

They also agreed to combine efforts and thus contribute to “raise the level of performance and competitiveness of Sonelgaz-Services structures through the establishment of an accreditation process within them”.

In addition, this framework agreement for a period of five years provides for the joint definition of “an action program which will be the subject of specific contracts determining the methods of implementation as well as the contribution of each of the parties according to the specificities of each action”, it is underlined.

A steering committee will be in charge of developing this program, added the statement.
