
The services of the Prime Minister announced, in a press release, the extension of the quarantine procedure for a period of one month (01), from midnight until 04 AM, in 19 provinces.
This measure concerns the following nineteen (19) provinces: Adrar, Laghouat, Batna, Bejaia, Blida, Tebessa, Tizi Ouzou, Algiers, Jijel, Setif, Sidi Bel Abbes, Constantine, M’sila, Ouargla, Oran, Boumerdes, El Oued, Tipaza and Touggourt.
The partial quarantine procedure applies from midnight (00:00) until four AM (04:00).
The partial quarantine procedure does not apply to the following thirty-nine states: Chlef, Oum El Bouaghi, Biskra, Bachar, Bouira, Tamanrasset, Tlemcen, Tiaret, Djelfa, Saida, Skikda, Annaba, Guelma, Medea, Mostaganem, Mascara, El Bayadh, Illizi, Borj Bou Arreridj , El-Tarf, Tindouf, Tissemsilt, Khenchela, Souk Ahras, Mila, Ain Defli, Al Naama, Ain Timouchent, Ghardaia, Relizane, Tamimoun, Burdj Badji Mokhtar, Ouled Djellal, Beni Abbas, Ain Salah, Ain Guezzam, Djanet, Al Meghaïer and Al Menia.
The measures of this quarantine will be applied starting from Saturday May 22, 2021, and the governors can, after approval of the competent authorities, take all measures required by the health status of each province, especially the approval, amendment or control of the timings of a partial or total quarantine targeting a municipality, a place, one or more neighborhoods, the source added.
The government renewed its calls for citizens to maintain the utmost vigilance and tautness in this battle against the spread of the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic in our country, by continuing to strictly comply with the recommended preventive measures, such as physical spacing, compulsory wearing of a mask, and frequent hand washing.
