Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra was received by the former Italian Prime Minister and ex-President of the Commission of the European Union (EU), Romano Prodi, with whom he exchanged views on the main political and security issues at the international level, especially in the Mediterranean region, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
Lamamra wrote on his Twitter account “Pleased to meet my friend, Romano Prodi, Prestigious Italian and European personality,” adding, “We discussed the latest developments in international relations, including the challenges facing the Mediterranean and ways and means of strengthening exchanges and bringing the peoples of the two shores of the Mediterranean closer together, in addition to the prospects of putting an end to crises through dialogue and diplomatic channels within the framework of international legality … I always benefit from his analysis of the situation in the world and the region.
