Forest fires: MINUSMA Chief offers condolences to Algeria

The Head of the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), El-Ghassim Wane on Wednesday extended his condolences to the government and people of Algeria, following the fires that have sparked in 14 provinces across the country.

During his participation at a symposium on “the role of the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali and Sahel region” at the International Conference Center, El-Ghassim Wane expressed his sincere condolences to the families of fires victims, which broke out across various provinces of the country and caused the death of 65 people among soldiers and civilians.

The fires broke out in Tizi Ouzou province, but also in Tebessa, Oum Bouaghi, Setif, Jijel, Media, Bejaia, Blida, Khenchla, Bouira, Guelma, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Boumerdes, Tiaret and Skikda provinces of Algeria.
