The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Said Chanegriha, visited today, Saturday, in the first military region of Blida, the Boughar site, which will host the “2022 Airborne Platoon international contest” to be organized by Algeria between August 15 and 27, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.
The statement indicated that “in continuation of the work and inspection visit to the first military region, which falls within the framework of examining the recent preparations related to the 2022 Airborne Platoon international contest, to be organized in our country during the period from 15 to 27 August. The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, visited today, Saturday, August 13, 2022, the Boughar site, which is one of the most important sites where this international military sports event will be held.
In the beginning, and accompanied by the commanders of the ground forces and the first military region the Lieutenant General supervised the inauguration of the site of the 2022 Airborne Platoon international contest and toured its various facilities, where detailed explanations were provided to him by the various members of the Organizing Committee.”
After that, the statement adds, the Lieutenant-General moved to the ground training field, where he inaugurated the jumping tower, to follow up on a parachute training from the tower.
The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army also inspected the shooting range of the Boughar 2022 Airborne Platoon international contest.
At the headquarters of the 104th Regiment of Operational Maneuvers, Mr. Chanegriha listened to a presentation that included “full explanations of the various preparatory aspects of this site.”
