The President of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, sent on Monday a message of condolences to the President of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Sentop, following the devastating earthquake that hit the south of the country, causing countless victims and significant material damage.
“It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that I learned about the violent earthquake that struck your brother country on Monday morning, causing many victims and significant damages” Goudjil wrote in his message.
“In this painful ordeal that has struck the brotherly Turkish people, I offer, on behalf of the Algerian Council of the Nation and on my own behalf, my sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs and to the Turkish people and Parliament, praying to Almighty Allah to grant His holy mercy to the victims and a speedy recovery to the wounded,” added the president of the Council of the Nation, assuring his Turkish counterpart of his deep compassion in this “painful ordeal”.
