Government meeting: Examining a draft executive decree to simplify procedures for granting customs licenses for production lines and equipment

During its meeting held today, Wednesday, via videoconference, the government headed by the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, examined a draft executive decree to simplify the procedures for granting customs licenses for production lines and equipment, according to a statement of the Prime Minister’s services.

It concerns the draft executive decree amending and supplementing Executive Decree No. 20-312 of November 15, 2020, containing the conditions and modalities for granting a customs license for production lines and equipment that have been refurbished within the framework of activities for the production of goods and services, the same source adds.

The statement underlined that “the introduced amendments aim to further simplify the procedures for granting customs licenses for the production lines and equipment that have been refurbished.”

Meanwhile, during the same meeting, a presentation was made on the prospects for reviving the National Branch of Electrical Industries and promoting exports of equipment and services emanating from this branch.

The statement stressed that “the choice of this branch is justified by the opportunities offered by the national market in accordance with the development of national capacities for the production, transmission and distribution of electric energy, which constitutes an advantage for the development and revival of this branch.”
