Governor of Algiers supervises the installation of newly appointed governors of a number of administrative districts

The governor of Algiers, Youcef Chorfa chaired, on Sunday, the installation ceremony of the new governors delegates from many administrative districts of the province and this, as part of the partial reshuffle operated among the governors delegates from the administrative district of the province of Algiers, by approval from the President of the Republic.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the head of the People’s Provincial Council of the capital, Karim Bennour, the head of the security of the wilaya of Algiers, Mohamed Chakour, and representatives of the various sectors. By virtue of this reshuffle, were installed, Mr. Merouane Boulessan, as wali delegate of the administrative district of Rouiba, Mr. Fethi Bouzaid, as wali delegate of the administrative district of Baraki and Mr. Yazid Delfi, in quality of wali delegate of the administrative district of Dar El Beida.

Also within the framework of the partial reshuffle operated in the body of walis delegates of the administrative districts at the level of the province of Algiers, it was proceeded to the installation of Mr. Abdelaziz Djouadi, as wali delegate of the administrative district of Bir Mourad Rais, Mr. El Derradji Bouziane, as wali delegate of the administrative district of Bab El Oued and Mr. Abderrahmane Dehimi, as wali delegate of the administrative district of El Harrach.

In his speech, the Governor of Algiers urged the new walis delegates to take care of the concerns of citizens and to support them during the holy month of Ramadhan, notably in the supply of drinking water, provision of public lighting, preparations for school exams, at all levels, as well as the summer season.

Mr. Chorfa also called on the new walis delegates for the province of Algiers to support the National Independent Election Authority (ANIE) and to ensure all the means, including logistics, in order to ensure the smooth running of the legislative elections of June 12th.
