Sonatrach’s CEO, Toufik Hakkar, paid, today, Wednesday, an inspection visit to the National Company for Well Services and the National Company for Works in Wells, located in Hassi Messaoud, according to a statement by the group.
A delegation of management executives accompaniedthe CEO during his visit to the two companieswhich are specialized in drilling, maintenance and stimulation related to oil and gas wells and which contribute to the development of the production capacities of the mother company Sonatrach.
This inspection visit constituted an “opportunity to see the production and service capacities and the level of process control, as well as the level of training of engineers and technicians working in this field, marked by a continuous development and strong competition,” according to the same source.
On the occasion of this visit, Hakkar shared with the senior executives of the two companies the vision and strategic objectives of Sonatrach, urging them to develop their capacities and capabilities in the field of operations related to wells, train the staff in technological control, and invest in research and development by relying on emerging universities and institutions.
He also urged them to rationalize expenditures, reduce the import bill and develop local content, the same statement added.
