Installation of National Electoral Commission supervising election of constitutional law professors at Constitutional Court

Members of the National Electoral Commission charged with supervising, managing and monitoring constitutional law professors were inaugurated as members of the Constitutional Court on Monday at the headquarters of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, according to a ministry statement.

The Commission comprises a President with a rank of Supreme Court Chancellor, two constitutional law professors as Members, a Technical Secretariat comprising staff from the higher education and scientific research sector and a court clerk.

Following the inauguration of the members of this Commission, nominations were open  for constitutional law professors who meet the requirements specified in the presidential decree number 21-304 on 04 August 2021, the clause that determines the condition and modalities of the constitutional law professors election as members of the Constitutional Court, announced higher education institutions. Submitting nominations will be via a website set by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
