Interior Minister highlights women’s professionalism and responsibility in civil protection

The Minister of the Interior, Brahim Merad, praised the remarkable participation of women in the Civil Protection Corps, highlighting their high sense of responsibility and professionalism.

The Minister of the Interior, Brahim Merad, praised the remarkable participation of women in the Civil Protection Corps, highlighting the high sense of responsibility and professionalism they have shown in carrying out their mission.

Chairing on Tuesday a ceremony on the occasion of the International Women’s Day at the headquarters of the National Training and Intervention Unit of Dar-El-Beida (Algiers), Mr. Merad praised the “remarkable participation of women in the Civil Protection and their professionalism in the fulfilment of their missions, as well as the courage and bravery they have shown during the various operations”, stressing that “these qualities are inspired by the patriotic and nationalistic values of the men and women in this corps”.

The Minister pointed out that “we are proud to see the large number of women in the various specialities, including medical assistance and air evacuation”.

After congratulating all Algerian women on their International Day, the Minister highlighted the “effective role of Algerian women in all areas of life”, calling them “pillars of society”.

The Minister said that the Civil Protection has “nearly 2,500 women in its ranks of various grades and specialties, including 85 in leadership positions in the central and local administration, in addition to 86 women with the rank of senior officer and senior medical officer”.
