
The governor of Jijel, Abdelkader Kelkal, issued, yesterday evening, a decision banning swimming in the beaches until “next July,” the official opening date of the 2021 summer season, according to the province’s services.
This decision (under No. 1091) includes in its first article, “It is strictly forbidden to swim in beaches allowed for swimming until the official opening of the summer season on July 1, 2021.”
The decision also stipulates that the heads of the municipal people’s councils, the heads of departments, the director of tourism, handicrafts and family work, must publish this decision widely and in all public places and beach entrances located in the province.
On the other hand, the resolution stipulates that anyone who violates the content of the resolution shall be punished according to the regulation in force, while assigning the national security and gendarmerie services to ensure its strict implementation.
