Khenchela: Classes suspended at Abbas Laghrour University for a week due to health reasons

The administration of Abbas Laghrour University in Khenchela issued a decision today, Saturday to suspend studies for a period of one week in all its faculties, for health reasons, according to what was reported today, Saturday, by the university’s administration representative for pedagogy.

A communiqué issued by the University administration stated that it was decided, after a meeting of the members of the cell charged with preparing the health protocol for the conduct of the 2021-2022 university year, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, to “suspend all pedagogical activities, including the first semester exams, for a week.”

The university administration has excluded Master 2 students in all faculties from implementing this decision, as it has kept taking exams during the period between January 23 and 27, 2022 for this category of students, according to the previously announced program, with an emphasis on the application of a strict health protocol.

As a result of the meeting chaired by the Director of the University, Professor Abdelouahed Chala, and attended by the Secretary-General of the University, deputies of the university rector, deans of faculties, the director of university services, directors of university residences, medical staff working in the sector, representatives of union branches of teachers, representatives of workers and student organizations, a decision was taken to schedule another exceptional meeting next Thursday to study the possibility of taking a decision to extend the period of suspension of studies at the university or continue it according to the health developments taking place during the current week.
