Lamamra delivers a message from President Tebboune to Emir of Kuwait

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, delivered a message from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Djaber Al-Sabah.

Following his participation in the consultation meeting of Arab foreign ministers, Lamamra was received on the second day of his visit to Kuwait in his capacity as special representative of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by the Deputy Amir of the State of Kuwait, Crown Prince Sheikh Mechaal Al-Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah, as well as by the Prime Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, said a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lamamra also held extensive talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah, the statement added.

Lamamra was received by the Deputy Emir of Kuwait, Crown Prince Sheikh Mechaal Al Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah, to whom he delivered a message from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah.

For his part, Sheikh Mechaal asked Lamamra to convey “his greetings to President Tebboune and the Algerian people”, expressing his thanks and consideration of the political leaders in Kuwait for Algeria’s positions of principle and solidarity with Kuwait and the other Gulf countries.

The Algerian head of diplomacy held a working session with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmed Nacer Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah. The two parties discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation, including the promotion of exchanges of high-level visits and the proper preparation of upcoming bilateral events, in addition to the reactivation of agreements concluded and the implementation of development projects scheduled.

The two ministers agreed to strengthen diplomatic cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels, including the intensification of joint actions and cooperation between Algeria and Kuwait ahead of the Arab Summit to be held in Algiers, as well as support for Algeria’s candidacy for a UN Security Council seat.
