Lamamra discusses with Portuguese counterpart bilateral cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra held talks in New York with his Portuguese counterpart Augusto Santos Silva, on the historical relations between the two countries and the existing bilateral cooperation.

Lamamra stated in a tweet on his official Twitter account that he held talks with the Portuguese Foreign Minister, during which they expressed the distinguished level of historical relations between the two countries and the existing bilateral cooperation.

The latest developments in the Maghreb, the Sahel and the Sahara were also reviewed, as well as prospects for strengthening efforts to overcome common challenges in the Mediterranean region.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly now being held in New York until the 27th of this month and in which Lamamra is participating.
